Construction Junction, What's your function?

As you may or may not know, we are currently in the middle of a major construction project at the McConkie household and have been since we moved in. I'm talking adding-on-a-second floor, knock-down-a-wall-or-two, drywall-dust-everywhere kinda thing. My definition of a clean house lately has been making sure the blue tape holding the plastic to the wall stays put. But, I am starting to think the worst is over and I finally have heart enough to take pictures.

So, I proudly present a medley of artistic construction remnants that still permeate our abode:

Exhibit #1: Dry wall on front porch (our neighbors must love us)

Exhibit #2: Inspection stickers on unfinished Master bedroom window

Exhibit #3: Bathroom Vanity in the living room for last 2 months, half-hung sheet trying to protect rare books, dust mask on vase (prounounced vaz), vaccum out (we currently have .5 closets in our entire house) and various other clutter that is temporarily homeless

Exhibit #4: Our pretty new piano (Hurray!) Getting a piano all happened so fast--Matt made a really low offer on a craigslist special and the guy was moving in a week and the rest is history. Can you believe we brought a new baby into this mess?

Oh my goodness Shelley it all looks so beautiful! I had no idea your home was so lovely, nor did I believe it when I saw that the piano was a baby grand! High living Shelley. You should keep the citizens for yourself...

That piano looks very nice. It is fun to see pictures of your house. Which, by the way, does not look very messy. You need to post some more convincing photos.

Shelly, this is your HOUSE? I'm telling Paul, we're moving to the South. I want the wood floors, the porch, the piano!

Shelley, your house is beautiful. Really and truly beautiful.

But still no excuse to live so far away.
