They say that Americans are most comfortable talking about the weather

So every time people ask me if I like Charlotte I can honestly say yes, but I can't yet say yes in the way that really means yes, i.e. I really like Charlotte. But, one thing that I really, really like right now about Charlotte is the fact that it has been in the high 70s for the last 5 days and there is nothing but sunshine in the forecast. People always say that they want snow for Christmas but they don't really mean it. Everybody wants snow on Christmas Eve but the majority of people wouldn't mind holiday cheering in shorts and a t-shirt. Today we were playing at the park at 5:00. The temperature was 77. Life is good.

I dissent. I do want snow for Christmas. I like wearing a coat and a scarf and seeing my breath. You'll see. When you get here at Christmas time you'll be so glad it's cold.

70s are nice, but how can you go snowboarding without the snow? Christmas break is the only time I get to go snowboarding anymore and I look forward to the crisp weather and hot cocoa in lodge all year long. Sounds like Charlotte has been amusing. keep writing. I like to hear what you are up to. Which reminds me, do you still hear from Natalie ever?

Speaking of Natalie. . .
Here I am. Shelley, I need your address to send you a Christmas card. I'm glad to see you writing again. One of these days I'll get a blog going. The weather is great here in the winter, too. Just give me a vacation with snow and I'm happy. Maybe surviving 3 New York winters is what makes me so happy to do without the snow. That and 3 kids. 3 kids is easier with no snow and coats!

Yes, I think I want snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Otherwise I wouldn't mind playing in my shorts in 70 degree weather.
